FarmVille 2 Crafting Kitchen Guide


When you reach Level 5, you can expand your farm to unlock a new, lucrative ability:Crafting! Use the Ingredients obtained from your Crops, Animals and Trees to create delicious Crafted Goods that you can sell for Coins in your Market Stand.

Unlocking the Craft Kitchen

When you unlock the expansion directly to the left of your starting farm (The FarmsteadKitchen), you will reveal the Crafting Kitchen. To get started, click on the Kitchen to access the Crafting Menu.



Inside the Crafting Kitchen

After you open the Crafting Kitchen, you will see which recipes you are able to craft. Therecipes available to you depend on a couple of things:
  • What level you are: Recipes in the Crafting Kitchen have level requirements. This means you have to keep leveling up to unlock new Recipes. The more advanced you are in the game, the more complicated your recipes will be—but they will sell for more coins, too!
  • What Ingredients you have available: As you harvest Crops and collect from your Animals, you can use these items to craft recipes.
What Goes Into a Recipe?
There are a few different types of items that you will need when making Recipes. Here’s what they are and how to get them:

Ingredients: Raw ingredients come from your farm or Neighbors. Get them by harvesting Crops and Trees, feeding your Animals and visiting your Neighbors. Some Ingredients can only be obtained from your friends, so be sure to ask nicely!
  • Crops: Produce Ingredients like wheat, blueberries, strawberries, pumpkin, etc.
  • Trees: Produce tree fruit like apples, lemons, oranges, etc.
  • Animals: Produce Ingredients like eggs, milk and cheese after you feed them.
  • Salt and Sugar: These are Ingredients that you will need to get from your Neighbors.
  • Are you in a hurry to craft, but don’t have the Ingredients you need? You can purchase Ingredients with Farm Bucks.
NOTE: You can see which recipes a crop, tree, or animal product goes into when you mouse over its icon in the general store:


  • Crafted Goods: These are Recipes that you make in your Crafting Kitchen from raw Ingredients. Use them to complete Final Recipes (see description below), which can then be sold in your Market Stand. Completed Crafted Goods, such as Batter, Flower, and Lemon Water, cannot be sold.
  • Finished Products (Final Recipes): These are Recipes that you can sell for coins in your Market Stand. These Recipes require Crafted Goods to complete. They are marked with a star symbol.
The Crafting Kitchen Menu displays all of the Recipes you currently have available. To access this menu, simply click on the Kitchen. 



The Recipe thumbnails have symbols on them to indicate different things:

Exclamation Mark:

This symbol is used to indicate a new Recipe you have recently unlocked. 



Padlock:

This symbol is used to indicate a Recipe that has a Level Requirement higher than your current level. To find out which level you need to be on to unlock a certain recipe, simply hover over the Recipe Card. 



Star:

These are Recipes that you can sell for coins in your Market Stand. These Recipes require Crafted Goods to complete.



Recipe Card Organization:

Recipe card thumbnails are arranged in a column. These columns are referred to as Recipe Chains. Recipe Chains are designed to show you the natural progression of a Final Recipe, so you are able to create the Finished Product easier. For example:

Flour: Requires 4 Wheat to complete

Batter: Requires 1 Flour and 2 Eggs to complete

Apple Scone: Requires 6 Apples and 1 Batter to complete

The Apple Scone is the Final Recipe in this Chain. It requires the first two Crafted Goods (Flour + Batter) in this Chain to complete. 

Crafting Recipes
Once you’ve decided which Recipe to craft, click on the thumbnail to view which ingredients are required:



NOTE: Clicking the green “Go Home” button in the corner of a recipe card will take you back to the Recipe thumbnail screen in your Kitchen.

Some Recipes require a Crafted Goods instead of Ingredients. If you come across a Recipe like this, you may feel a bit confused. But no need to worry, making the required Crafted Good is simple! Just click on the “Craft” button located under the Good you need to make. This will open up the applicable Recipe Card. 

Once you have all the ingredients that you need to finish your Recipe, click the “Make 1” button on the Recipe Card. It should turn green to let you know that you’re ready to go.

After you click “Make It,” your recipe should craft instantly. Once it’s made, it will pop out of the oven and dance merrily around your kitchen before placing itself into your inventory. Don’t worry if you don’t mouse over it fast enough to scoop it up—it will go there automatically!



Powering Your Kitchen
Creating all of those yummy treats isn’t easy. To stay in business, the Crafting Kitchenrequires Power (Crafting Energy). Every time you use your Kitchen to make a Recipe, it will deduct from your power reserves. The amount of power you have left can be found at the bottom of the Crafting Menu. 



Out of power? There are a few different ways to get more:

• Ask your friends to send you Power 
• Purchase Power Packs for Farm Bucks
• Give it some time— Power for your Crafting Kitchen gradually replenishes itself after 1 hour.

Earning Coins!
Once you’re finished Crafting, it’s time to earn some money! Your Finished Products can be sold in your Market Stand for Gold. The more difficult the Recipe, the higher the Coin yield will be. As a reminder, you won’t be able to sell Crafted Goods in the Market. Only Ingredients and Finished Products can be sold.

FarmVille 2 Goat Shelter: Everything you need to know


If you've reached at least Level 6 in FarmVille 2, you now have a brand new animal storage building: the Goat Shelter. Similar to the Chicken Coop, this Goat Shelter will allow you to store up to 12 Prized Goats on your farm, and will increase your Animal Feed capacity in the process. As with all good things in FarmVille 2 though, you can't use this one until you build it, and we're here with a guide to do just that,thanks to Zynga.

The Goat Shelter requires eight Goat Bedding, eight Hinges, and eight Nails to complete. All of these items are earned through a combination of general news posts on your wall and individual requests sent directly to your neighbors. Once that's done, you'll need to ask four of your neighbors to come work as builders within the Goat Shelter to actually finish it off.

With the building out of the way, the Goat Shelter can hold up to 12 Prized Goats, regardless of type (e.g. you could store a Prized Red Goat alongside a Prized Pygmy Goat). Each individual animal will take up one storage slot. You can feed all of these Prized Goats at the same time for half of the Animal Feed it would take if they were still wandering around your farm.

In addition, once you finish building the Goat Shelter, your maximum Animal Feed capacity will go up by 35 points. It's also worth noting that you'll still receive all of the normal products from your Goats as you tend them. That is, they'll still produce Goat Cheese each time they're fed, whether they're inside the Goat Shelter or not.

Unfortunately, this building has yet to roll around to all farmers, so if you don't see one in your game just yet, you'll need to wait just a bit longer to build one. Hopefully, the wait won't be too long, and you can reclaim some of your land space soon.
